EASY KIELBASA SKILLET DINNER
The house always smells awesome while this very tasty, filling meal is cooking. It makes kielbasa worth stocking up on when it goes on sale and uses basic/cheap ingredients overall. Vary the vegetables depending on what you have on hand. For example add/replace broccoli with a can of corn and/or peas, etc. If you like a little heat, sprinkle a little hot sauce on top after it's cooked. This should make about 4 servings, but it almost always turns out to be split into 2 large servings between the me and the boyfriend. We like to crisp up/brown the kielbasa slightly before adding the vegetables.

KIELBASA FRIED RICE RECIPE - (4.2/5)
Provided by á-31143

Steps:
- In a nonstick wok or large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of the vegetable oil. Add the kielbasa and stir-fry over high heat until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Transfer to a plate. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil to the wok along with the onion, carrots and white scallions and cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and ginger, and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the rice and all but 1 tablespoon of the scallion greens, and stir-fry until the rice is heated through and beginning to brown, about 3 minutes. Push the fried rice to the side of the pan to create a well. Pour the eggs into the well and cook, stirring gently, until nearly set. Return the kielbasa to the skillet and toss with the eggs and fried rice, cooking for 1 minute. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the soy sauce. Transfer the fried rice to bowls, garnish with the remaining 1 tablespoon of scallion greens and serve.
Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make a big difference in the final dish. Look for kielbasa that is made with high-quality pork and has a good smoky flavor. Use long-grain rice that is cooked to perfection (not mushy or overcooked).
- Season the dish well: Use a variety of seasonings to add flavor to the fried rice. Garlic, ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil are all good choices. You can also add other seasonings to taste, such as chili pepper flakes, black pepper, or white pepper.
- Cook the kielbasa and vegetables separately: This will help to prevent the kielbasa from overcooking and the vegetables from becoming mushy. Cook the kielbasa until it is browned and cooked through, and then remove it from the pan. Cook the vegetables until they are tender but still have a bit of crunch.
- Add the rice and seasonings: Once the kielbasa and vegetables are cooked, add the cooked rice and seasonings to the pan. Stir-fry until the rice is heated through and evenly coated with the seasonings.
- Serve immediately: Kielbasa fried rice is best served immediately. Garnish with green onions, cilantro, or sesame seeds before serving.
Conclusion:
Kielbasa fried rice is a quick, easy, and delicious meal that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. It is also a great way to use up leftover kielbasa and rice. With its savory flavor and satisfying texture, kielbasa fried rice is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
