Number Of Ingredients 8

3-4 cups cooked pasta
1 cup tomato pasta sauce
2oz cream cheese
Salt and pepper
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 cup shredded cheese
4 oz pepperoni slices
Parlsey, optional garnish

Steps:

  • Cook the pasta according to package directions and drain out the water.
  • Prehat oven to 350F
  • Place the pasta in a large bowl and add in the pasta sauce, cream cheese, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. Stir well to combine. The heat from the recently cooked pasta should help melt the cream cheese to make it stirrable.
  • Pour the pasta into a casserole dish and cover with 1 cup of shredded cheese. Sprinkle with additional Italian seasoning, if desired, and place pepperoni slices on top.
  • Cover casserole dish with tinfoil and bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  • You can remove the tinfoil for a couple minutes if you want to crisp up the cheese, or remove the dish from the oven

Combining penne or rotini pasta, pepperoni, pasta sauce and cheese makes for a perfect weeknight meal that will please the whole family. Absolutely perfect as a family friendly meal, you can make this dish your own by adding or subtracting peppers, onions or topping with even more cheese. Practically dump and bake, pizza casserole also makes a great freeze ahead recipe as well as flavorful left overs.

8 oz. rotini pasta (cooked and drained)
1/2 lb ground Italian sausage (cooked)
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 green bell pepper (chopped)
1 cup pepperoni slices
14 oz. pizza sauce (jar- any flavor)
1 cup mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Cook pasta according to package directions, Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, add sausage and heat until brown. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  • Stir in garlic, diced up onion and chopped green pepper.
  • Cook an additional 3-5 minutes to allow for ingredients to soften.
  • Stir in pepperoni, cooked and drained pasta and tomato sauce. Mix well.
  • Top with mozzarella cheese.
  • Place cast iron skillet into oven and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and it's heated through.
  • Top pizza casserole with a little extra Parmesan cheese or your favorite pizza toppings.

My grand children love pizza, ( what kid doesn't?,) and they were at my house for dinner 1 night and I didn't know what I was going to make them because all 3 are very picky eaters. I came up with this quick and easy pizza casserole and WOW did it go over great!! Not only that, but it's so easy, the kids love to help make it!

1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 c chopped yellow onion
1/2 c chopped green bell pepper
15 oz jar pizza sauce, or you can use fav marinara sauce
1 can campbell's cheddar cheese soup
1 c water
1/2 c diced pepperoni
2 c mafalda pasta, ( small lasagna noodles.) or you can break lg lasagna noodles into smaller pieces
1 c shredded mozzarella cheese
1 Tbsp dried italian herbs

Steps:

  • 1. In a lg skillet, lightly sprayed w/ cooking spray, heat over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, onion and green bell pepper. Cook, stirring until beef is cooked through. Drain any fat from pan.
  • 2. Heat oven to 400. Spray a 9" x 13" casserole dish w/ cooking spray. Into lg skillet w/ beef mix, add pizza sauce and cheese soup. Stir in water and pepperoni. Bring to a boil.
  • 3. Stir in noodles. Cover and let cook until noodles are tender, about 10-15 mins. Spoon mix into casserole pan and sprinkle w/ cheese. Bake until cheese is melted, about 10 mins. Great served w/ garlic bread sticks.

2 cups egg noodles
1 lb ground beef
1/3 cup onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
1/3 cup water
1/2-1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350.
  • Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and reserve.
  • Meanwhile, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium high heat for 6 minutes or until beef is no longer pink. Drain off excess liquid. Stir in oregano, salt, soup, 1/3 c water, and noodles. Remove from heat and add half the cheese. Spoon into 11x7 baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly.
  • Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
  • Note: since making this more often I tend to use Penzey's Pizza Seasoning instead of the spices, use extra cheese, and double all but the meat to freeze casseroles that are less "meaty.".
