Categories     Crackers

Number Of Ingredients 2

Package slice(s) sargento ultra thin cheddar
pinch(es) pink himalayan salt

Steps:

  • Pre-heat oven to 300°.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place 5-6 pieces of sliced cheese (cut into 9 pieces each) onto baking sheet, making mini crackers. Cut them to any size you'd like.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes and then pull them out of the oven to cool.
  • Crackers must fully cool to crisp and setup properly.

Tips:

  • Use different cheeses: Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese to create a unique flavor profile. Cheddar, Parmesan, mozzarella, and Monterey Jack are all good choices.
  • Add some heat: If you like spicy snacks, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili powder to the Cheez-It mix.
  • Make it cheesy: If you want extra cheesy flavor, add a tablespoon or two of grated cheese to the mix.
  • Use fresh herbs: Fresh herbs, such as parsley, chives, or dill, can add a pop of flavor to the Cheez-It mix.
  • Don't overmix: Be careful not to overmix the dough, as this will make the crackers tough.
  • Chill the dough: Chilling the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking will help the crackers to hold their shape.
  • Bake until golden brown: Bake the crackers until they are golden brown and crispy. This will ensure that they are cooked through.

Conclusion:

Kickin' Cheez-It mix is a delicious, easy-to-make snack that's perfect for parties, potlucks, or just a quick bite to eat.
