Tips:

  • Choose high-quality ground beef: Opt for a blend of chuck and sirloin for a juicy and flavorful patty.
  • Season the beef liberally: Use a combination of salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika for a classic burger flavor.
  • Form the patties gently: Don't overwork the meat, as this can result in tough burgers. Handle the meat as little as possible.
  • Cook the burgers over medium-high heat: This will create a nice sear on the outside while keeping the inside juicy.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: Cook the burgers in batches if necessary to avoid steaming them.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure proper doneness: Cook the burgers to an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for medium-rare, 165°F (74°C) for medium, or 170°F (77°C) for well-done.
  • Let the burgers rest before serving: Allow the burgers to rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
