Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe tomatoes: This will ensure the best flavor and texture in your crostini. Avoid tomatoes that are bruised, soft, or have blemishes.
  • Roast the tomatoes before using: Roasting the tomatoes concentrates their flavor and sweetness. You can roast them in a single layer on a baking sheet at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20 minutes, or until they are softened and slightly caramelized.
  • Use high-quality Kalamata olives: Kalamata olives have a rich, briny flavor that complements the sweetness of the tomatoes and the creaminess of the goat cheese. Look for Kalamata olives that are plump and dark purple.
  • Don't overcrowd the crostini: When assembling the crostini, don't pile on too many toppings. This will make them difficult to eat and will also make them more likely to fall apart.
  • Serve the crostini immediately: Crostini are best when served immediately after they are assembled. This will help to ensure that the bread is crispy and the toppings are fresh and flavorful.

These Kalamata and Tomato Crostini are a delicious and easy appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. They are made with fresh, flavorful ingredients and are sure to be a hit with your guests.
