RANCH HOUSE 3 BEAN SALAD BY FREDA

Ranch House 3 Bean Salad By Freda image

This recipe was Made & served in a rest. I worked at Years ago, in Graham, Wash. One Of My favorites, on any salad bar.

Provided by FREDA GABLE

Categories     Other Side Dishes

Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 9

3 BEAN SALAD
4 Cups green beans
4 Cups kidney beans
3 Cups garbonzo beans
1 lg chopped bell pepper
1/2 Cup chopped onion
DRESSING FOR 3-BEAN SALAD
1 Cup italian dressing
1/2 Cup sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Rinse and Drain all beans. Place in large bowl
  • 2. Add: Green Peppers and Onions. Add: dressing and Sugar. Toss well . . . Chill, Toss often. Serve.
  • 3. Note: you can chop 1/2 green and 1/2 red Bell peppers for added color to your salad. Keeps well for 1 week in refer.

Tips:

  • Use ripe peaches: The riper the peaches, the sweeter and more flavorful your salad will be.
  • Choose a variety of greens: Feel free to mix and match different types of greens, such as romaine lettuce, spinach, arugula, or kale. Mesclun mixes are an excellent and widely-available shortcut.
  • Don't be afraid to add other fruits and vegetables: This salad is a great way to use up leftover fruit and vegetables. Try adding berries, melon, cucumber, or bell pepper.
  • Make sure to toast the pecans: Toasting the pecans brings out their flavor and makes them more crunchy.
  • Use a light dressing: A simple vinaigrette or lemon-tahini dressing is a good choice for this salad. Avoid heavy dressings, which will weigh down the salad.
  • Serve immediately: This salad is best served immediately after it is made. The peaches will start to brown if you let it sit for too long.

Conclusion:

The Just Peachy Tossed Salad is a delicious and refreshing summer salad that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you have a ripe peach, give this salad a try!
