Tips:
- Choose the right mushrooms: For this recipe, large and firm mushrooms like portobello or jumbo shrimp work best. They can hold the stuffing without breaking apart.
- Clean the mushrooms properly: Use a damp paper towel to wipe the mushrooms clean. Don't soak them in water, as this can make them soggy.
- Remove the mushroom stems: Use a spoon or a melon baller to carefully remove the stems from the mushrooms. Save the stems for use in other dishes, such as soups or stir-fries.
- Stuff the mushrooms evenly: Don't overstuff the mushrooms, or they may burst during cooking. Use a spoon to evenly distribute the stuffing into each mushroom cap.
- Bake the mushrooms at a high temperature: This will help to create a crispy crust on the mushrooms and prevent them from becoming soggy.
