Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor. Overripe or mushy strawberries will not produce a good jam.
  • If you don't have a candy thermometer, you can test the jam for doneness by dropping a small amount onto a cold plate. If the jam wrinkles when you push it with your finger, it is ready.
  • Be careful not to overcook the jam, or it will become tough and chewy.
  • Allow the jam to cool completely before storing it in jars.
  • Mandelbrot cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 months.

Conclusion:

These Jewish strawberry jam and chocolate chip mandelbrot recipes are a delicious and easy way to enjoy the flavors of summer. The jam is perfect for spreading on toast, pancakes, or waffles, while the cookies are a great snack or dessert. With a little bit of planning, you can make these recipes ahead of time and enjoy them all week long.
