Tips

  • Use fresh corn: Fresh corn is sweeter and has a better flavor than frozen or canned corn. If you can't find fresh corn, you can use frozen or canned corn, but the flavor will not be as good.
  • Cook the corn properly: Overcooked corn is tough and chewy. To avoid this, cook the corn until it is just tender. You can cook the corn in a pot of boiling water, in a steamer, or on the grill.
  • Season the corn well: Corn is a blank canvas, so it can be seasoned with a variety of flavors. Try using butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, or chili powder.
  • Add some mix-ins: Corn is also a great way to use up leftover vegetables. Try adding diced tomatoes, onions, peppers, or cheese to your corn. You can also add cooked bacon or crumbled sausage.
  • Serve the corn immediately: Corn is best served immediately after it is cooked. If you need to store the corn, let it cool completely before refrigerating it. You can store the corn in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
