Tips:

  • To ensure a smooth custard filling, make sure to whisk the eggs and sugar together until they are light and fluffy. This will help to prevent the custard from curdling.
  • When adding the hot milk to the egg mixture, do so slowly and gradually, whisking constantly. This will help to prevent the eggs from scrambling.
  • Be sure to bake the pie in a water bath. This will help to prevent the crust from becoming too brown and will also help to keep the custard filling from curdling.
  • Allow the pie to cool completely before serving. This will help the custard to set and will also make it easier to slice.

Conclusion:

Jamie Deen's eggnog custard pie is a delicious and festive dessert that is perfect for any holiday gathering. With its creamy custard filling and flaky crust, this pie is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
