Tips:

  • Use fresh peaches: Fresh peaches are the star of this cobbler, so make sure they're ripe and juicy. If you can't find fresh peaches, you can use frozen or canned peaches, but the flavor won't be as good.
  • Peel and slice the peaches: Before you add the peaches to the cobbler, you'll need to peel and slice them. If you have a potato peeler, you can use it to peel the peaches. Otherwise, you can use a sharp knife.
  • Add some sugar to the peaches: The sugar will help to sweeten the peaches and draw out their juices. You can use white sugar, brown sugar, or a combination of both.
  • Make the cobbler topping: The cobbler topping is made with flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and butter. You can use a pastry blender or two forks to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Assemble the cobbler: Add the peaches to a baking dish and then sprinkle the cobbler topping over the peaches. Bake the cobbler in a preheated oven until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
  • Serve the cobbler: Serve the cobbler warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Conclusion:

Jackie's Fresh Peach Cobbler is a classic summer dessert that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. The combination of sweet peaches and a buttery cobbler topping is irresistible. With a few simple tips, you can make the best peach cobbler you've ever tasted.
