JACK DANIEL'S CAKE

Jack Daniel's Cake image

This has been my 24 year old son's favorite and most requested cake since he was about 10 - he is a butterscotch lover. It is really good - make sure you get the bottom/topping - it's what makes the cake! Being from Texas, I usually use pecans instead of walnuts. NOTE: If you want to use an electric mixer, be careful to not overbeat the cake.

Tips:

  • Choose a high-quality bundt pan that will produce a beautiful, even cake. Greasing and flouring the pan thoroughly will help prevent the cake from sticking.
  • Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. This includes using real butter, eggs, and sour cream. You can also use freshly squeezed orange juice and zest.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the cake tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the cake at the correct temperature and for the correct amount of time. If you underbake the cake, it will be gooey in the center. If you overbake the cake, it will be dry.
  • Let the cake cool completely before glazing it. This will help the glaze set properly.

Conclusion:

This Jack Daniel's Bundt Cake is a delicious and decadent dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is moist and flavorful, with a rich caramel glaze that is simply irresistible. The cake is also easy to make, and it can be prepared in advance, making it a great option for busy hosts.
