LIME ITALIAN ICE
Steps:
- Fill a large bowl with ice water. Place another bowl inside so it's surrounded on all sides by the ice water. In a medium saucepan, bring water and sugar to a boil. When sugar has dissolved, remove from heat and add lime juice. Pour into bowl sitting in the ice bath to cool lime mixture, about 15 minutes. Pour mixture into a 10 by 12-inch baking dish that's sitting on a sheet tray and put in the freezer. After 1 1/2 hours, remove from freezer and scrape the ice with a fork, being sure to mix the softer center with the more frozen outer edges. Put back into the freezer for another 1 1/2 hours. Before serving, scrape again using the fork.

Tips:
- Select ripe and flavorful grapes: The quality of your grapes will greatly impact the taste of your Italian water ice. Choose grapes that are plump, juicy, and have a deep color.
- Freeze the grapes before blending: Freezing the grapes helps to create a smooth and slushy texture. You can freeze the grapes whole or cut them in half.
- Use a high-powered blender: A high-powered blender is essential for creating a smooth and creamy Italian water ice. If you don't have a high-powered blender, you can use a food processor, but the results may not be as smooth.
- Add sugar or honey to taste: The amount of sugar or honey you add will depend on the sweetness of your grapes. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.
- Serve immediately or freeze for later: Italian water ice is best served immediately, but it can also be frozen for later. If you freeze it, let it thaw for a few minutes before serving.
Conclusion:
Italian water ice is a refreshing and delicious treat that is perfect for a hot summer day. It is easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can enjoy this classic Italian dessert in the comfort of your own home.
