These potatoes are beloved by children and adults alike, and they are very easy to make. Just cube the potatoes (don't bother to peel) and tumble them into a pan. Pour on the olive oil, sprinkle the oregano, peel the garlic cloves (you don't even have to do that if you're pushed for time), mix everything together and stick the dish in the oven. Serve alongside some lamb chops and a simple salad, or just the salad.

  • Choose the right cut of beef. Chuck roast or rump roast are good options for this recipe, as they are both relatively inexpensive and have a good amount of marbling.
  • Brown the beef before braising. This will help to develop flavor and color.
  • Use a good quality Alfredo sauce. A homemade Alfredo sauce is always best, but you can also use a store-bought sauce if you're short on time.
  • Don't overcook the potatoes. They should be tender but still have a little bit of bite to them.
