ITALIAN HERB ROLLS
I got this recipe from my daughter-in-law who was trying to impress me... She did. When I made them, it seemed that the dough was not very elastic and was worried about it being to dense. It does turn out ok though. After forming the rolls, there is no need to let the dough rise a second time before baking.

Steps:
- Set bread machine on dough setting and let mix and rise once.
- Shape and form into rolls.
- Bake 25-30 min at 350°F.
Tips:
- Activate the yeast properly: Ensure the water is warm, around 110-115°F (43-46°C), as this is the ideal temperature for activating the yeast. If the water is too hot, it can kill the yeast, and if it's too cold, the yeast won't activate sufficiently.
- Use fresh ingredients: Fresh herbs, such as rosemary, thyme, oregano, and basil, will provide the best flavor to your rolls. If using dried herbs, use about 1/3 of the amount of fresh herbs.
- Don't overwork the dough: Overworking the dough can make it tough and dense. Knead it just enough until it comes together and forms a smooth, elastic ball.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place: A warm environment helps the yeast to work its magic and double the size of the dough. Place the dough in a warm, draft-free area, such as a turned-off oven with the light on.
- Bake the rolls until golden brown: Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter before baking to give them a golden brown color and a soft, shiny crust.
Conclusion:
Italian herb rolls are a delightful and versatile bread that can be enjoyed as a snack, appetizer, or side dish. With their aromatic blend of herbs, soft and fluffy texture, and golden brown crust, these rolls are sure to impress. Whether you're a seasoned baker or a novice in the kitchen, this easy-to-follow recipe will guide you through the process of creating these delicious herb-infused rolls.
