I was craving something creamy with pasta so I was like "humm what would go good??" I saw the Philly cooking cream and was like O.O "this could be potentially yummy!" Time 45m

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 large boneless/skinnless chicken breast
1 large green bell pepper
1 l red bell pepper
1 medium red onion
5 celery
1 tub of philly cooking cream (italian herb and cheese)
1 pkg penne pasta or wagon wheels (prefer penne pasta)
oilve oil, light

Steps:

  • 1. Cut the chicken breasts into small cubes and put into a large skillet with enough olive oil to coat the bottom of the pan.
  • 2. Sear off the chicken breast chunks completely and turn the heat down to medium-low. In a large pot, boil the pasta you chose until al-dente. (Wagon Wheels are good...but penne pasta gives it a more pleasant texture)
  • 3. Chop the onion and peppers up into small pieces along with the celery and put into the pan with the chicken and GENTALY HEAT them up (you don't want the vegetables to wilt or they lose their crunch.
  • 4. Add the Philly Cooking Cream and pasta to the mix and blend well until the vegetables are coated.
  • 5. Serve as soon as possible with garlic bread or stand alone!!

Tips:

  • Carefully select your Cheese: Use a combination of cheeses that melt well together, such as mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan. Avoid cheeses that are too hard or crumbly.
  • Fresh Herbs: Use fresh herbs whenever possible for the best flavor. If you don't have fresh herbs, you can use dried herbs, but reduce the amount by half.
  • Garlic and Onion: Sautéing garlic and onion in butter or olive oil until fragrant enhances the flavor of the cheese spread.
  • Breadcrumbs: Add breadcrumbs to the cheese spread for a bit of texture and to help absorb excess moisture.
  • Use Good Quality Bread: Choose a sturdy bread that can hold up to the cheese spread, such as a baguette, sourdough, or Italian bread.

Conclusion:

With its creamy texture, flavorful combination of cheeses, and the aromatic blend of herbs, this Italian herb and cheese spread is sure to impress your taste buds.
