Tips:

  • Use fresh halibut. Fresh halibut has a mild, sweet flavor and a firm texture that holds up well to breading and frying.
  • Cut the halibut into even-sized pieces. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Season the halibut with salt and pepper before breading. This will help to enhance the flavor of the fish.
  • Use a light touch when breading the halibut. Too much breading can make the fish heavy and greasy.
  • Fry the halibut in hot oil. This will help to create a crispy crust.
  • Drain the halibut on paper towels before serving. This will help to remove any excess oil.

Conclusion:

Italian breaded halibut is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The halibut is mild and flaky, and the breading is crispy and flavorful. Serve it with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, green beans, or a salad.
