Tips:

  • Use ripe, flavorful tomatoes for the best flavor. Look for tomatoes that are deep red and free of blemishes.
  • If you don't have any fresh basil, you can use dried basil instead. Just use about 1/4 of the amount of dried basil that you would use fresh basil.
  • Make sure to toast the bread before assembling the sandwiches. This will help the bread to hold up better and prevent it from getting soggy.
  • If you're using a panini press, preheat it to medium heat before cooking the sandwiches.
  • Cook the sandwiches until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey.
  • Serve the sandwiches immediately with your favorite sides.

Conclusion:

These Italian BLTs are a delicious and easy-to-make twist on the classic BLT sandwich.
