Number Of Ingredients 9

2 tablespoons olive oil
2/3 cup rice wine vinegar
1/3 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon honey
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
1 tablespoon shallot, minced
1/2 teaspoon creole seasoning
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients together. Refrigerate.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better your vinaigrette will taste. This is especially true for the herbs and citrus fruits.
  • Choose a good quality olive oil: The olive oil is the base of your vinaigrette, so it's important to choose a good one. Look for an extra virgin olive oil that has a fruity, peppery taste.
  • Experiment with different vinegars: There are many different types of vinegar that can be used in a vinaigrette. Some popular choices include balsamic vinegar, red wine vinegar, and white wine vinegar. Each type of vinegar will give your vinaigrette a different flavor profile.
  • Add some herbs and spices: Herbs and spices can add a lot of flavor to your vinaigrette. Some popular choices include basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary, garlic, and pepper.
  • Taste your vinaigrette and adjust the seasonings as needed: The best way to make sure your vinaigrette is perfect is to taste it and adjust the seasonings as needed. Add more acid, sweetness, or salt until you reach the desired flavor.

Conclusion:

A vinaigrette is a versatile dressing that can be used on a variety of dishes. It's easy to make and can be tailored to your own personal taste. With a little experimentation, you can create a vinaigrette that will make your dishes sing.
