Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 lb fresh red snapper fillet
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 large green bell peppers, cut into bite-size pieces
1 large spanish onion, chopped
3 clove garlic, minced
1 Tbsp hot pepper sauce

Steps:

  • 1. Cut red snapper into 1-inch cubes; set aside.
  • 2. In a large frying pan, combine olive oil, green pepper, onion and garlic. Sauté for 5-8 minutes over a medium hot heat. Add hot pepper sauce into sizzling pan. • 3. Serve over white rice or pasta. Shrimp, lobster tail, scallops, or crab meat, may be used as a tasty alternative to fish. Serve with a fresh tossed green salad.

Tips:

  • Choose a fresh red snapper. Look for a fish with bright, clear eyes, red gills, and a firm body.
  • Score the fish before cooking. This will help the marinade penetrate the fish and cook it more evenly.
  • Use a flavorful marinade. The marinade in this recipe is made with olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, thyme, and rosemary. You can also use other herbs and spices that you like.
  • Cook the fish over medium-high heat. This will help to sear the fish and prevent it from sticking to the pan.
  • Be careful not to overcook the fish. Red snapper is a delicate fish that cooks quickly. Overcooked fish will be dry and tough.
  • Serve the fish immediately. Red snapper is best served hot, with a squeeze of lemon juice and a sprinkle of fresh herbs.

Conclusion:

This recipe for Island Red Snapper is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a summer meal.
