Tips:

  • Choose firm, unblemished garlic bulbs with tight cloves. Avoid bulbs that are soft, moldy, or have sprouted.
  • Cut off the top 1/4 inch of the garlic bulb to expose the cloves.
  • Drizzle the garlic bulbs with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. This will help them roast evenly and develop a delicious flavor.
  • Place the garlic bulbs in a single layer in the Instant Pot. Do not overcrowd the pot, or the garlic will not cook evenly.
  • Add 1/2 cup of water to the Instant Pot. This will help create steam and prevent the garlic from burning.
  • Secure the lid on the Instant Pot and set the valve to "Sealing."
  • Cook the garlic on high pressure for 20 minutes. Once the cooking time is complete, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes, then quick-release the remaining pressure.
  • Remove the garlic bulbs from the Instant Pot and let them cool slightly before handling.
  • Once the garlic is cool enough to handle, squeeze the cloves out of the bulb. The cloves should be soft and spreadable.
  • Use the roasted garlic in a variety of dishes, such as pasta, pizza, dips, and sauces.

Conclusion:

Roasting garlic in the Instant Pot is a quick and easy way to create a delicious and versatile ingredient. Roasted garlic can be used in a variety of dishes, from pasta and pizza to dips and sauces. It is also a great way to add flavor to roasted vegetables and meats. With its rich, nutty flavor, roasted garlic is a surefire way to elevate any dish.
