1 1/2 cups milk (I've used lite and soy here)
3 eggs
2 slices bacon, rashers chopped (I prefer chopped ham)
3 shallots, chopped
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
130 g corn kernels, rinsed, drained
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Fry bacon until browned, place bacon into a sieve and allow to drain. (I use chopped ham or bacon and just microwave it for a bit, then drain on paper towel).
  • Oil shallow 23cm round flan dish. Whisk flour and milk in medium bowl until smooth; whisk in eggs.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients; pour mixture into prepared dish. Bake in moderately slow oven (160C, 325F) about 1 hour (60 minutes) or until set.

3/4 cup Bisquick
3 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups milk
1 cup Bisquick

1/2-1 cup chopped cooked meat, approximately
3/4-1 cup cheese, shredded
3/4-1 cup vegetables, cooked and chopped or 3/4-1 cup vegetables, raw, chopped

Steps:

  • Choose the base ingredients based on the size of the pie pan you are using.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Grease desired size pie pan.
  • Sprinkle meat, cheese and vegetables, if using, into pan.
  • Beat base ingredients until smooth, 14 to 30 seconds in a blender; or 1 minute on high with a hand beater; or 2 minutes by hand.
