ICED GRAHAM CRACKERS

My mama died when I was 18 but the memories of that beautiful lady have not dimmed a bit even tho I am now 55. Mama was a good cook but an exceptional baker. As a matter of fact mama was responsible for the majority of desserts at family meals. That was a job I took on with her recipes after her death. Mama would make just little quick easy things that were tasty and I make them for my grandkids, they think I am all that. We have dessert 4 times a week to keep down the candy cravings, these are quick but they fill the bill. Never thought to take a picture but will next time and post it.

Tips:

  • Choose fresh graham crackers. Stale graham crackers will not absorb the milk and sugar mixture as well and will be less flavorful.
  • Use a shallow dish. This will help the milk and sugar mixture cover the graham crackers evenly.
  • Don't overcrowd the dish. If the graham crackers are too close together, they will not absorb the milk and sugar mixture as well.
  • Let the graham crackers soak for at least 30 minutes. This will give them time to absorb the milk and sugar mixture and become soft and flavorful.
  • Chill the graham crackers before serving. This will help them to set and become even more delicious.

Conclusion:

Iced graham crackers are a delicious and easy summer treat. They are perfect for parties, picnics, or anytime you need a quick and refreshing snack. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make this classic dessert in no time. So next time you are looking for a cool and refreshing treat, give iced graham crackers a try.
