Time 5m

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 ice cubes
1 ounce elderflower syrup
4 ounces sparkling wine
a splash of seltzer or sparkling water (or to taste)
5 fresh mint leaves (garnish)
1 lemon slice (garnish)

Steps:

  • 1. Add ice to your chilled glass.
  • 2. Now add the sparkling wine, elderberry syrup, and a splash of soda water or seltzer. Garnish with mint leaves and lemon slices.
  • 3. Stir gently and sit back to enjoy.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better your Hugo Spritzer will taste. This is especially important for the fruit, as fresh fruit will be more flavorful and juicy.
  • Choose a good quality sparkling wine: The sparkling wine you use will make a big difference in the taste of your Hugo Spritzer. Look for a sparkling wine that is crisp and refreshing, with a good balance of acidity and sweetness.
  • Make sure your mint is fresh: Fresh mint will add a bright, herbaceous flavor to your Hugo Spritzer. If you don't have fresh mint, you can use dried mint, but it won't be as flavorful.
  • Don't over-stir your Hugo Spritzer: Over-stirring will make your Hugo Spritzer cloudy and less refreshing. Stir just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Serve your Hugo Spritzer immediately: Hugo Spritzers are best served immediately after they are made. The longer they sit, the more the flavors will fade.

Conclusion:

The Hugo Spritzer is a refreshing and flavorful cocktail that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With its beautiful green color and delicious taste, the Hugo Spritzer is sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering.
