Tips:
- Use fresh huckleberries for the best flavor. If fresh huckleberries are unavailable, you can use frozen huckleberries, but make sure to thaw them completely before using.
- To make sure your pie crust is flaky, use cold butter or shortening and work it into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Don't overmix the pie dough, or it will become tough. Mix it just until it comes together.
- When baking the pie, prick the bottom of the crust with a fork to prevent it from puffing up.
- Bake the pie until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- Let the pie cool completely before serving. This will allow the filling to set and the flavors to develop.
Conclusion:
Huckleberry cheese pie is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its flaky crust, creamy filling, and sweet-tart huckleberries, this pie is sure to be a hit.
