Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 tablespoons water
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1 1/2 cups pecans

Steps:

  • Melt sugar and water in a small saucepan. Stir in pecans. Toast 2 minutes. Place on a sheet in 350 degree oven for 7 to 10 minutes.

Tips:

  • Choose the Right Nuts: Select nuts that are fresh and free of blemishes. Roasted or raw nuts can be used, but roasted nuts will have a more intense flavor.
  • Use High-Quality Ingredients: The better the quality of your ingredients, the better your flavored nuts will taste. Use pure vanilla extract, real maple syrup, and high-quality spices.
  • Don't Overcook the Nuts: Overcooked nuts will be tough and dry. Cook them just until they are fragrant and lightly browned.
  • Let the Nuts Cool Completely: Before storing or serving the nuts, let them cool completely. This will help the flavors to meld and the nuts to crisp up.
  • Store the Nuts Properly: Store the nuts in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. They will keep for up to 2 weeks.

Conclusion:

Flavored nuts are a delicious and versatile snack that can be enjoyed on their own or added to trail mix, salads, yogurt, and other dishes. With a little creativity, you can create your own unique flavored nuts that will tantalize your taste buds. So next time you're looking for a healthy and satisfying snack, reach for a handful of flavored nuts.
