BEST DAMN OVEN BAKED SALMON

Best Damn Oven Baked Salmon image

A quick and easy oven baked salmon filet that's full of flavor, tender, moist and delicious!

Categories     Dinner

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 salmon filets, 6oz each
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbs melted butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450°(F)
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
  • Place salmon filets on pan, skin-side down, and brush with melted butter. (Melt the butter in a small dish in the microwave for about 30 seconds).
  • Generously add all the seasoning to the salmon.
  • Bake at 450°(F) for 12-16 minutes, or until internal temperature in thickest part of salmon registers 145°(F) on an instant read thermometer.
  • Serve with lemon slices and fresh dill as garnish.

Tips:

  • Choose the freshest salmon possible. Fresh salmon will have a vibrant color and a firm texture. Avoid salmon that is dull or slimy.
  • Season the salmon liberally. Salmon is a mild-flavored fish, so it can handle a lot of seasoning. Be generous with the salt, pepper, and other spices.
  • Use a high-quality olive oil. Olive oil will help to keep the salmon moist and flavorful. Avoid using vegetable oil or butter, as they can overpower the taste of the salmon.
  • Cook the salmon at a high temperature. This will help to create a crispy crust on the outside of the salmon, while keeping the inside moist and flaky.
  • Don't overcook the salmon. Salmon is a delicate fish, so it's important to cook it just until it's cooked through. Overcooked salmon will be dry and tough.
  • Let the salmon rest before serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the fish, making it even more flavorful.

Conclusion:

Baked seasoned salmon is a delicious and healthy meal that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It's a great source of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and other essential nutrients. By following these tips, you can easily make a perfect baked seasoned salmon dinner at home.
