Yield 10-15 people

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 Green Onions chopped
2 lb ground beef (leaner the better)
1 small jar jalapeno cheese whip OR
8 oz Mexican velvetta
2-8oz cream cheese
1 lb. Monterey jack (or pepper jack, depending on the degree of spicyness you want.)

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef with onions. Put browned beef in a large crockpot. DO NOT SHREAD Cheese. Just place on top of ground beef in the crockpot. Cook on high until all cheeses are melted. Stir occasionally. Lower heat when all cheeses are melted. SERVE HOT WITH NACHO CHIPS.

Tips:

  • Select ripe and flavorful tomatoes: Vine-ripened tomatoes offer the best taste and texture for salsa.
  • Use fresh herbs: Fresh cilantro, parsley, or basil add a burst of flavor to the salsa.
  • Roast the tomatoes: Roasting the tomatoes intensifies their flavor and adds a smoky depth to the salsa.
  • Don't overcook the onions: Onions should be softened but not browned.
  • Adjust the heat level to your liking: Add more or less jalapeño pepper to achieve the desired level of spiciness.
  • Chill the salsa before serving: Chilled salsa allows the flavors to meld and develop.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings: Salsa is delicious with tortilla chips, tacos, burritos, or grilled meats.
