Tips:

  • To ensure the chicken is crispy, make sure to pat it dry before frying. This will help the coating adhere better and prevent the chicken from steaming.
  • Use a heavy-bottomed pot or Dutch oven for frying the chicken. This will help maintain a consistent temperature and prevent the oil from burning.
  • Don't overcrowd the pot when frying the chicken. This will cause the oil temperature to drop and the chicken will not cook evenly.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check that the chicken is cooked through before removing it from the oil. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  • While the chicken is frying, make the honey sauce. This will give the sauce time to thicken and develop flavor.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, drain it on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  • Toss the chicken in the honey sauce and serve immediately. The chicken can also be served with additional honey sauce on the side.

Conclusion:

Hot honey crispy chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. The combination of crispy chicken, sweet and spicy honey sauce, and sesame seeds is sure to please everyone. This dish can be served as an appetizer, main course, or even as a party food.
