Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1 can (6-1/2 ounces) minced clams, drained
1/4 cup sliced green onions
Raw vegetables, crackers and/or potato chips

Steps:

  • In a bowl, beat cream cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice and garlic salt until smooth. Fold in clams and onions. Chill. Serve with vegetables, crackers and/or chips.

Nutrition Facts :

Tips:

  • Use fresh clams. Fresh clams will have a briny, sweet flavor that will make your dip more delicious. If you can't find fresh clams, you can use frozen clams, but be sure to thaw them completely before using.
  • Chop the clams finely. This will help them distribute evenly throughout the dip and make it easier to eat.
  • Use a good quality cheese. The cheese is one of the main ingredients in this dip, so it's important to use a good quality cheese that melts well. A sharp cheddar cheese or a combination of cheddar and mozzarella cheese works well.
  • Don't overcook the dip. The dip should be cooked until it is just melted and bubbly. Overcooking it will make it tough and chewy.
  • Serve the dip immediately. The dip is best when served immediately after it is made. However, you can make it ahead of time and reheat it before serving.

Conclusion:

Hot clam dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. It can be served with crackers, bread, or vegetables. With its creamy, cheesy texture and briny, sweet flavor, hot clam dip is sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering.
