4 to 5 ounces boiling water
1 to 2 tablespoons buttered bourbon mix

  • In a bowl of your electric mixer, place the butter, sugar, maple syrup, spices and salt. Beat on medium speed until combined and smooth. At this point, you can place the butter in a sealed container and store it in the fridge!

1 1/2 cups apple cider or 1 1/2 cups water, plus
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
1 teaspoon allspice berry
1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
3/4 cup Bourbon
8 tablespoons salted butter, at room temperature
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon confectioners' sugar (icing sugar)

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, combine the cider, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, and ginger and place over low heat.
  • Cook at a simmer for 5 minutes.
