**Crock-Pot Hot Broccoli Dip:**

1. Embark on a culinary adventure with our crock-pot version, a testament to the art of slow cooking. Simply combine the broccoli florets, cream of celery soup, sour cream, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper in your trusty crock-pot. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally to create a smooth and velvety dip. Serve with an assortment of crackers, bread, or vegetables for a delightful appetizer or snack.

**Microwave Hot Broccoli Dip:**

1. Experience the convenience of the microwave without compromising on taste with our microwave-friendly recipe. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the broccoli florets, cream of celery soup, sour cream, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes, stirring every minute to ensure even cooking. Once the dip is hot and bubbly, serve immediately with your favorite dippers.

**Tips for Exquisite Hot Broccoli Dip:**

1. Elevate the flavor profile by using freshly grated cheddar cheese instead of pre-packaged shredded cheese. The freshly grated cheese melts more smoothly, creating a richer and more flavorful dip.

2. Add a touch of tangy zest with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. The citrus brightness perfectly complements the creamy and savory flavors of the dip.

3. For a touch of heat and depth of flavor, incorporate a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce. Adjust the amount according to your desired level of spiciness.

4. Don't be afraid to experiment with different types of cheese. Try a blend of sharp cheddar and Monterey Jack for a bolder flavor, or incorporate some crumbled blue cheese for a unique and piquant twist.

5. Serve your Hot Broccoli Dip with an array of dippers to cater to various preferences. Carrot sticks, celery stalks, tortilla chips, and bread cubes are all excellent choices.

HOT BROCCOLI DIP (CROCK POT OR MICROWAVE)

Hot Broccoli Dip (Crock Pot or Microwave) image

I love broccoli and pepper jack cheese... and this dip combines the two! This is a very quick and easy dip for parties. We like it with Frito's Scoops or tortilla chips. Leftovers are wonderful served over baked potatoes for lunch the next day. NOTE AFTER FIRST REVIEW: I have always kept this hot for serving in my mini-crockpot and haven't had trouble with it getting too thick.

Time 10m

Yield 1 small crockpot full, 8-10 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 3

3/4 lb monterey jack pepper cheese, cubed
1 (10 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (10 ounce) box frozen chopped broccoli, defrosted

Steps:

  • Melt the cheese in the microwave in a large bowl.
  • Add undiluted soup and mix well.
  • Cook broccoli, drain, and add to the mixture, stirring well.
  • Serve warm with Frito's Scoops, crackers, or tortilla chips.
  • Keeps well in a crock pot on low setting (stir periodically) or just pop it back in the microwave at serving time.
  • NOTE 9/11/07: I have been making this for years, but recently ran across the original recipe in an old cookbook. It turns out that the original had two cans of soup, which obviously would make a thinner dip. I'll probably still make it with one can, but if it seems thick, you might want to try two cans! :).

A wonderful, easy, creamy hot dip that even sauerkraut haters love. I often take this to work potlucks because I can assemble it at work. Just throw everything in and stir a few times. Also, it's delicious when it's overcooked and kind of dry!
