Time 45m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 1/2 c freshly grated parmesan cheese (about 7 oz.)
2 can(s) 15 oz each cut asparagus spears, drained
1 1/2 c mayonnaise
1 clove garlic, crushed
pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Grate (chop) cheese in food processor. Add other ingredients and process until blended. Pour into baking dish and bake for 20-30 minutes at 350 degrees or until slightly brown and bubbling. Serve hot with crackers or large corn chips

Tips:

  • Select the freshest asparagus: Look for asparagus spears that are bright green, firm, and have tightly closed tips. Avoid spears that are wilted, limp, or have brown or yellow spots.
  • Trim the asparagus properly: Cut off the woody ends of the asparagus spears. The easiest way to do this is to bend each spear until it snaps naturally. This will ensure that you remove the tough, fibrous part of the asparagus.
  • Cook the asparagus until tender-crisp: Overcooked asparagus will become mushy and lose its flavor. Cook the asparagus until it is tender-crisp, which means that it should still have a slight bite to it.
  • Use high-quality ingredients: The quality of your ingredients will directly impact the taste of your dip. Use fresh, flavorful asparagus, cream cheese, sour cream, and Parmesan cheese.
  • Season the dip to taste: Taste the dip and adjust the seasonings as needed. You may want to add more salt, pepper, garlic powder, or onion powder.
  • Serve the dip immediately: Hot asparagus dip is best served immediately after it is made. The dip will thicken as it cools, so if you need to make it ahead of time, reheat it gently before serving.

Conclusion:

Hot asparagus dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. It is creamy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. The dip can be served with a variety of dippers, such as crackers, bread, or vegetables. If you are looking for a tasty and crowd-pleasing appetizer, hot asparagus dip is definitely worth a try.
