Tips:

  • Choose tender green beans: Look for green beans that are bright green in color and snap easily when broken. Avoid beans that are limp or have brown spots.
  • Trim the green beans: Remove the ends of the green beans where the stem was attached. You can also trim the beans into smaller pieces if desired.
  • Use a large skillet: A large skillet will allow the green beans to cook evenly and prevent them from overcrowding.
  • Cook the green beans over medium heat: Medium heat will help the green beans cook through without burning.
  • Stir the green beans frequently: Stirring the green beans frequently will help them cook evenly and prevent them from sticking to the pan.
  • Add the tomatoes and spices: Once the green beans are cooked through, add the tomatoes, onions, ginger, garlic, chili peppers, and spices. Cook for a few minutes, or until the tomatoes are softened and the spices are fragrant.
  • Serve immediately: Hot and spicy green beans are best served immediately, while they are still hot and crispy.
