Time 4h20m

Yield 12

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 (8 ounce) packages fat-free cream cheese, softened
3 ½ tablespoons prepared horseradish
3 tablespoons Dijon-style mustard
12 (12 inch) flour tortillas
30 spinach leaves, washed with stems removed
1 ½ pounds thinly sliced cooked deli roast beef
8 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Beat the cream cheese, horseradish, and mustard together in a bowl until well blended.
  • Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture over each tortilla. Arrange spinach leaves evenly over the tortillas. Place two slices of roast beef over the cream cheese. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese, dividing evenly between tortillas. Starting at one end, gently roll up each tortilla into a tight tube. Wrap with aluminum foil or plastic wrap to keep the rolls tight. Refrigerate at least 4 hours.
  • To serve for lunch, unwrap and slice into 2 or 3 pieces. Only cut the rolls you will be using that day so the others do not dry out. To serve for parties, unwrap and slice the rolls diagonally into 1 inch sections, and arrange on a serving platter.

Time 4h10m

Yield 10 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 (8 ounce) package fat-free cream cheese
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
1 tablespoon dijon-style mustard
5 8-inch flour tortillas
30 leaves fresh spinach, stemed removed
10 slices thin deli italian roast beef or 10 slices roast beef
4 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • Beat cream cheese, horseradish and mustard in small bowl until smooth.
  • Spread about 3 tablespoons cream cheese mixture evenly on each tortilla.
  • Arrange 5 or 6 spinach leaves over cream cheese.
  • Place 2 slices roast beef over spinach; sprinkle with about 3 tablespoons cheese.
  • Roll each tortilla up tightly; wrap with plastic food wrap.
  • Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • To serve, cut each tortilla into 1-inch slices.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of beef. Flank steak, skirt steak, or top round steak are all good options for this recipe. The meat should be thinly sliced, against the grain.
  • Tenderize the meat. Pounding the meat with a meat mallet or rolling it out with a rolling pin will help to tenderize it and make it more receptive to the marinade.
  • Marinate the meat. The marinade in this recipe is a combination of soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, ginger, and brown sugar. It helps to flavor the meat and make it more tender.
  • Cook the meat quickly. Overcooking will make the meat tough. Cook the meat over high heat for just a few minutes per side, or until it is cooked to your desired doneness.
  • Serve the meat immediately. Horseradish beef roll-ups are best served immediately, while the meat is still hot and juicy.

Conclusion:

Horseradish beef roll-ups are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main course. They are perfect for a party or a weeknight meal. With a few simple tips, you can make sure that your horseradish beef roll-ups are perfect every time.
