Tips:
- Prep Your Ingredients: Before you start baking, make sure all your ingredients are measured and ready to go. This will help you stay organized and avoid any scrambling during the baking process.
- Use Room Temperature Ingredients: Whenever possible, use room temperature ingredients. This helps them mix together more easily and creates a smoother batter.
- Don't Overmix: Overmixing the batter can make your cheesecake tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined and then stop.
- Bake in a Water Bath: Baking the cheesecake in a water bath helps prevent the top from cracking and keeps the texture smooth and creamy.
- Cool Slowly: After baking, let the cheesecake cool slowly in the oven with the door cracked open. This helps prevent the cheesecake from sinking.
- Chill Thoroughly: Once the cheesecake is cooled, chill it for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before serving. This allows the flavors to meld and the texture to firm up.
