Time 20m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 15

1 1/2 lbs boneless pork chops, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon milk
1 egg
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • If desired or necessary, pound chops to ensure even thickness, about 1/4 inch thick.
  • In a shallow bowl beat egg and milk together.
  • Place flour in in a zip top bag or on a large sheet of wax paper. Makes cleanup easy.
  • Mix seasonings together and season each side of the meat to taste. Mix any remaining spice mix into the flour.
  • Dip each chop into flour mix, shake off any excess flour. Then dip into the egg wash, letting the excess drip back into the bowl. Now dip it again in the flour and again shake off any excess.
  • Melt butter and oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and fry until brown on both sides but not overcooked. About 4 minutes per side.
  • Heat a small sauce pan over med-low heat a few minutes before meat is done. When warmed add all sauce ingredients and heat just until warm and melted. Stir constantly. Do not overcook or the sauce will get hard.
  • Place chops on a platter, pour sauce over chops and serve immediately.

Time 40m

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 10

Juice of 1 large orange (about 1/2 cup)
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Kosher salt
4 bone-in center-cut pork chops (about 1 3/4 pounds total)
2 tablespoons honey
4 small sweet potatoes (about 8 ounces each)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Whisk the orange juice, olive oil, 1 1/2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning, the thyme, Worcestershire sauce and 3/4 teaspoon salt in a large bowl. Pierce the pork chops in several places with a fork, then add to the bowl with the marinade and turn to coat. Transfer the pork chops to a rack set on a rimmed baking sheet, reserving the marinade. Bake the chops 15 minutes, then turn and continue baking until slightly golden, about 10 more minutes. Preheat the broiler. Whisk the honey into the reserved marinade and brush onto the chops. Broil until golden and a thermometer inserted into the center registers 145 degrees F, about 4 minutes per side. Let rest 5 minutes. Meanwhile, pierce the sweet potatoes in a few places with a fork and microwave until soft, about 20 minutes. Cut in half and scoop the flesh into a bowl. HONEY-SOY GLAZED PORK CHOPS

Honey-Soy Glazed Pork Chops image

I found this recipe on another website, however I do not remember which one. This is quick and easy to prepare. The sauce is delicious served over rice. Do not cook the sauce too long as the soy sauce can become very intense. I usually double the sauce mixture and garlic but that is just my preference.

Provided by Nanette62

Categories     High Protein

Time 25m

Yield 2-4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

4 boneless pork chops, 3/4 inch thick (approx. 4 ounces each)
1/4 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce (I prefer low sodium)
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
1 garlic clove, minced
2 green onions, sliced for garnish (optional)

Steps:

  • Sprinkle 1 side of each pork chop with black pepper.
  • Heat nonstick skillet over medium high heat until hot.
  • Add pork chops, pepper side down, and cook approximately.
  • 4 minutes or until browned.
  • Reduce heat to medium, turn pork chops and cook 6 to 8 minutes longer or until they just lose their pink color.
  • Transfer pork chops to platter, cover to keep warm.
  • While pork chops are cooking, in a cup or small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar and cornstarch until smooth.
  • After removing pork chops, add garlic to skillet, cook 30 seconds, stirring (no longer so it does not burn).
  • Stir honey mixture into skillet (mixture will boil) and cook 1 to 2 minutes, stirring.
  • The longer the sauce mixture cooks, the soy sauce flavor becomes stronger.
  • Spoon sauce over pork chops.
  • Sprinkle with green onions for garnish, if desired.

Tips:

  • To ensure your pork chops are cooked evenly, use a meat thermometer to check their internal temperature. For medium-rare, aim for 145°F (63°C); for medium, 155°F (68°C); and for well-done, 165°F (74°C).
  • If you don't have a meat thermometer, you can check the doneness of your pork chops by making a small incision into the thickest part of the meat. The juices should run clear, with no trace of pink.
  • To make a delicious honey glaze, use a combination of honey, Dijon mustard, and soy sauce. This will give the pork chops a sweet, tangy, and savory flavor.
  • To prevent the honey glaze from burning, baste the pork chops frequently with the glaze throughout the cooking process.
  • Serve the honey-glazed pork chops with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a simple salad.

Conclusion:

Honey-glazed pork chops are a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for any occasion. By following these tips, you can create perfectly cooked pork chops with a sweet, tangy, and savory glaze. Enjoy your meal!
