Tips:
- Use a combination of ground beef and pork: This will result in a more flavorful and moist meatloaf. If you prefer, you can use all beef or all pork, but the combination is ideal.
- Use fresh herbs and spices: This will give the meatloaf a more vibrant flavor. If you don't have fresh herbs on hand, you can use dried herbs, but be sure to use half the amount.
- Don't overmix the meatloaf: Overmixing will make the meatloaf tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
- Bake the meatloaf in a loaf pan: This will help the meatloaf hold its shape and cook evenly.
- Baste the meatloaf with the honey barbecue sauce during the last 15 minutes of baking: This will give the meatloaf a sticky, flavorful glaze.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing: This will help the meatloaf stay moist and prevent it from falling apart.
Conclusion:
This honey barbecue meatloaf is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for any occasion. The combination of ground beef and pork, fresh herbs and spices, and honey barbecue sauce makes for a flavorful and moist meatloaf that everyone will love. Serve it with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, green beans, or a salad, for a complete meal.
