CINNAMON WHIPPED CREAM

Cinnamon Whipped Cream image

The inspiration for the whipped cream came from Bon Appetit December 2002 issue. I've changed the measurements to my own taste. This whipped cream is delicious on anything with apples such as pie, cobbler and apple bread (see recipe 76946 for a great combo). Also would be nice on top of hot chocolate or coffee!

VANILLA WHIPPED CREAM

Thick, heavenly, and quick homemade whipped cream. The lemon adds a hint of light citrus, the vanilla warms and enriches the typically too-sugary treat. By adding these 2 ingredients, I cut the sugar in half! Great for French toast, fruit dip, and desserts, or as a base for more elaborate recipes that use cream.

Tips:

  • Use heavy cream: It has a higher fat content than other types of cream, which helps it whip up thicker and creamier.
  • Chill the cream and beaters: This will also help the cream whip up faster and more easily.
  • Whip the cream gradually: Start on low speed and gradually increase to medium or high speed as the cream thickens.
  • Don't overwhip the cream: Overwhipping can cause the cream to become grainy and stiff.
  • Add flavorings: Once the cream is whipped, you can add flavorings such as vanilla extract, sugar, or cocoa powder.
  • Use whipped cream immediately: Whipped cream is best used fresh, as it will start to lose its volume and texture over time.

Conclusion:

Homemade vanilla whipped cream is a delicious and versatile topping that can be used on a variety of desserts, from pies and cakes to ice cream and fruit. It is easy to make and only requires a few simple ingredients. With a little practice, you can make perfect whipped cream every time.
