Time 4m

Yield 3 cups, 1 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

15 sprays cooking spray
3 tablespoons popcorn
3 1/2 g Stevia Truvia (1 packet Truvia)
1 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Spray the bottom and sides of the inside of a brown paper lunch bag with the cooking spray. Add the popping corn to the bag, fold over the top of the bag once or twice to seal, and place it in the microwave. Microwave on high for 3 & 1/2 minutes or until popping significantly slows.
  • When the popcorn is done popping, quickly add the Truvia and salt, reseal the bag, shake, and serve. Enjoy an entire bag of Kettle Corn microwave popcorn all to yourself for only 4 Weight Watchers® PointsPlus points (as opposed to 27 points for eating an entire bag of store-bought microwave kettle corn such as Pop Secret Old-Fashioned Kettle Corn!).

Tips:

  • Choose the right popcorn. Not all popcorn is created equal. For kettle corn, you'll want to use a popcorn that is specifically designed for popping in oil. This type of popcorn will produce a light and fluffy popcorn that is perfect for coating with sugar and salt.
  • Use a large pot. You'll need a large pot to pop the popcorn in. A Dutch oven or a large saucepan will work well.
  • Heat the oil over medium heat. Don't let the oil get too hot, or the popcorn will burn. Medium heat is the perfect temperature for popping popcorn.
  • Add the popcorn kernels. Once the oil is hot, add the popcorn kernels. Be careful not to overcrowd the pot, or the popcorn won't pop properly.
  • Cover the pot and shake it occasionally. This will help to distribute the heat evenly and prevent the popcorn from burning.
  • Listen for the popping to slow down. Once the popping slows down to a few seconds between pops, remove the pot from the heat.
  • Pour the popcorn into a large bowl. Add the sugar and salt and toss to coat.
  • Enjoy! Kettle corn is best served fresh, so enjoy it right away.
