BLT WRAPS

We will whip these up sometimes just for a bit of a change in the traditional. Sometimes I will make the BLT mix up before leaving for the ballpark so that when we get home all we have to do is throw them together and EAT!! Prep time includes frying bacon.

Time 30m

Yield 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 lb bacon, fried, torn into bite size pieces
1 head lettuce, shredded
2 -3 tomatoes, chopped
mayonnaise or Miracle Whip (the amount is completely up to you!)
salt
pepper
flour tortilla (Fajita or Burrito sized)

Steps:

  • Place bacon, lettuce and tomato in large bowl, add enough mayo or Miracle Whip to"wet" all ingredients together.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Place a"generous" portion of BLT mixture onto tortilla, as if you were making a burrito.
  • Wrap and Roll-- your ready to go!
  • NOTE: Sometimes the kids will request shredded cheese in their mixture so I just divide into two mixes, one with shredded cheese, one without (I am not one to fool with a classic like a BLT by putting cheese on it).

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The quality of your ingredients will greatly impact the taste of your BLT wraps. Make sure to use fresh, ripe tomatoes, crispy lettuce, and thick-cut bacon.
  • Cook the bacon until it is crispy: Crispy bacon is the key to a great BLT wrap. Cook the bacon over medium heat until it is golden brown and crispy.
  • Use a good quality tortilla: The tortilla is the foundation of your BLT wrap, so make sure to use a good quality tortilla. Look for tortillas that are soft and pliable.
  • Don't overstuff the wraps: Overstuffed wraps are difficult to eat and can easily fall apart. Add just enough ingredients to fill the tortilla without overcrowding it.
  • Serve the wraps immediately: BLT wraps are best served immediately after they are made. The tortillas will start to soften over time, so it is best to eat them fresh.

Conclusion:

BLT wraps are a quick, easy, and delicious meal that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They are also a great way to use up leftover bacon and lettuce. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can make a delicious BLT wrap that the whole family will love.
