This started with a little of this and a little of that and alot of tasting! After several punch efforts this is the final recipe. Hope you enjoy it! I make a frozen ring of the punch mixture without the rum, but add chucks of pineapple and red cherries so the ring looks lovely floating in the punch bowl. Prep time doesn't include chill time.

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 cups orange juice
1 quart pineapple juice
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
3 cups water
2 quarts ginger ale
1/2 cup Captain Morgan's spiced rum (optional)
3 tablespoons honey
6 whole cloves
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 tablespoon grated lemon rind

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients EXCEPT ginger ale and Captain Morgan's Rum.
  • Let chill overnight or at least 3 hours. Strain.
  • Add ginger ale and the rum.
  • Pour into punchbowl. Add frozen ring or ice cubes.
  • Garnish with slices of orange and lemon.

Lime slices, for ice and garnish
Apple wedges, for ice and for garnish
Cranberries, for ice
3/4 cup Citrus-Ginger Sugar
2 1/4 cups freshly squeezed lime juice
3 3/4 cups dark rum
2 1/4 cups Grand Marnier
1 1/2 cups Amaretto
3 3/4 cups apple juice, preferably organic
3 1/2 cups sparkling water
Orange slices, for garnish
Freshly grated cinnamon, for garnish

Steps:

  • Fill a 2-cup container with water and add lime slices, apple wedges, and cranberries; cover and transfer to a freezer. Freeze until solid.
  • In a large punch bowl, mix together sugar and lime juice until dissolved. Add rum, Grand Marnier, Amaretto, and apple juice. Transfer to refrigerator until ready to serve.
  • Add ice and top with sparkling water. Garnish with lime slices, orange slices, apple wedges, and cinnamon; serve.

8 cups apple cider or 8 cups apple juice
4 cups cranberry-raspberry juice
1 pint fresh raspberries or 12 ounces pkg. loose-pack frozen raspberries
1/2 cup brandy
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
6 inches cinnamon sticks
3 inches fresh ginger (cut in thirds)
2 teaspoons whole cloves
1 teaspoon whole allspice
2 small cooking apples, cored and cut into wedges

Steps:

  • Combine apple cider, cranberry-raspberry juice, raspberries, brandy, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and allspice in a 4- to 5-quart Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 15 minutes.
  • Strain punch through a sieve lined with cheesecloth.
  • To serve, return punch to Dutch oven. Add apple wedges. Cover and heat until boiling.
  • Pour hot punch into a heatproof bowl or transfer to crockpot. Serve in heatproof cups, floating an apple wedge in each serving.
