I found this on the internet (www.drinkoftheweek.com ) and I am posting this for safe keeping. I also plan on making this for a holiday party. I was looking for something to put in an old punch bowl...

Provided by petlover

Categories     Christmas

Time 2h

Yield 20 cups

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/2 cup white sugar
2 cups orange juice
2/3 cup lemon juice
1 (4 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, with juice
1 ounce triple sec
705 milliliters light rum
1 orange, sliced into rounds
1 lemon, sliced into rounds
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple chunks, with juice
1 liter seltzer water
ice

Steps:

  • In a punch bowl, combine sugar, oj, and lemon juice: stir until sugar dissolves.
  • Add cherries, triple sec, rum orange slices, lemon slices and pineapple chunks.
  • Stir and refrigerate for 1-2 hours to allow the flavours to blend.
  • Pour in Seltzer and add ice just before serving.

Tips:

  • Use fresh fruit: Fresh fruit will give your punch the best flavor. If you can't find fresh fruit, you can use frozen fruit, but thaw it before using.
  • Use a variety of fruits: The more variety of fruits you use, the more complex and flavorful your punch will be. Try using a combination of tropical fruits, citrus fruits, and berries.
  • Use a good quality rum: The rum is the main ingredient in this punch, so it's important to use a good quality rum. Look for a rum that is smooth and flavorful.
  • Don't skimp on the spices: The spices in this punch add a lot of flavor. Don't be afraid to use a generous amount of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  • Let the punch sit overnight: This will allow the flavors to meld together and develop. If you're short on time, you can chill the punch for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Conclusion:

Holiday Rum Punch Remix is a delicious and festive drink that is perfect for any holiday party. With its combination of fresh fruit, spices, and rum, this punch is sure to be a hit with your guests. So next time you're looking for a fun and easy holiday drink, give Holiday Rum Punch Remix a try.
