Number Of Ingredients 1

vegetable oil, hidden valley ranch dressing, 1 bag baby red potatoes

Steps:

  • 1. Pour 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil in an iron-cast skillet. Put skillet in oven and preheat the oven to 450 degrees-IMPORTANT TO DO THIS..YOU WANT THE SKILLET SIZZLING. Cut baby red potatoes into FOURTHS ONLY. Put 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil in a Glad Food Storage Bag; seal bag. Toss to coat. Add 1 Packet Hidden Valley Seasoning & Salad Dressing Mix and toss again until potatoes are coated with oil and seasoning. Once oven has reached 450 degrees, put potatoes in the iron-cast skillet and bake for 30-35 minutes or until potatoes are brown and crisp.

Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes: For the best results, select small, firm red potatoes that are about 1 to 2 inches in diameter. Avoid potatoes that are too large, as they will take longer to cook and may not roast evenly.
  • Scrub the potatoes thoroughly: Before roasting, scrub the potatoes with a vegetable brush to remove any dirt or debris. This will help the potatoes cook evenly and prevent them from sticking to the pan.
  • Cut the potatoes into uniform pieces: To ensure that the potatoes cook evenly, cut them into uniform pieces. If the potatoes are too large, cut them into quarters or eighths. Smaller potatoes can be roasted whole.
  • Toss the potatoes with olive oil and seasonings: Before roasting, toss the potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings. This will help the potatoes brown and develop a crispy exterior.
  • Roast the potatoes at a high temperature: Roast the potatoes at a high temperature of 425°F (220°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until they are tender on the inside and crispy on the outside.
  • Shake the pan occasionally: During roasting, shake the pan occasionally to prevent the potatoes from sticking to the pan and to ensure that they cook evenly.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs: Before serving, garnish the potatoes with fresh herbs such as parsley, chives, or dill. This will add a pop of color and flavor to the dish.

Conclusion:

Hidden Valley Ranch roasted red potatoes are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for any occasion. The potatoes are roasted until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and they are coated in a flavorful Hidden Valley Ranch dressing. These potatoes are sure to be a hit with your family and friends. They are also a great way to use up leftover mashed potatoes.
