Tips:

  • Roast the tomatillos and chiles: Roasting the tomatillos and chiles enhances their flavor and gives the salsa a smoky depth of flavor. If you don't have a grill or broiler, you can roast them in a hot oven at 400°F for 15-20 minutes, or until they are slightly charred and softened.
  • Use fresh herbs: Fresh herbs, such as cilantro and oregano, add a bright, herbaceous flavor to the salsa. If you don't have fresh herbs on hand, you can use dried herbs, but be sure to use only 1/3 of the amount called for in the recipe.
  • Don't over-blend the salsa: Over-blending the salsa will make it too smooth and thin. Pulse the ingredients in a food processor or blender until they are just combined, leaving some small chunks of vegetables and herbs.
  • Taste the salsa and adjust the seasonings: Before serving, taste the salsa and adjust the seasonings to your liking. You may want to add more salt, pepper, lime juice, or cilantro. You can also add a pinch of sugar to balance out the acidity of the tomatillos.

Conclusion:

Hernandez green salsa is a delicious and versatile condiment that can be used to add flavor to a variety of dishes, from tacos and burritos to enchiladas and quesadillas. It is also a great dipping sauce for chips and vegetables. With its bright, fresh flavor, Hernandez green salsa is sure to become a favorite in your kitchen.
