Tips:

  • For the best results, use Yukon Gold or red potatoes for this recipe. These varieties hold their shape well and have a creamy texture that pairs perfectly with the herbs and garlic.
  • Be sure to cut the potatoes into evenly sized pieces so that they cook evenly. If the pieces are too large, they may not cook through, and if they are too small, they may overcook and become mushy.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan when cooking the potatoes. If the potatoes are too crowded, they will not brown properly and will end up steamed instead of roasted.
  • Roast the potatoes at a high temperature (425°F) to get a crispy exterior and fluffy interior.
  • Season the potatoes generously with herbs and garlic. You can use fresh or dried herbs, but fresh herbs will give you the best flavor.
  • If you want to add some extra flavor to the potatoes, try tossing them with a little olive oil, lemon juice, or grated Parmesan cheese before roasting.

Conclusion:

These herbed garlic potatoes are a simple but delicious side dish that will complement any meal. They are easy to make and can be roasted in the oven or cooked in a skillet. The combination of herbs and garlic gives the potatoes a savory flavor that is sure to please everyone at the table. Whether you are serving them for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion, these potatoes are sure to be a hit.
