Corn already seasoned so this is very easy to take for a picnic. No need to bring butter or salt. Just keep corn on ice till ready to cook because the sugar will turn to starch if it sits around. More reason to buy fresh as possible. Can be doubled or cut in half. Feel free to change the herbs.

Tips:

  • Choose fresh corn on the cob: Look for ears with bright green husks and plump kernels. Avoid ears with dry or brown husks, or kernels that are shriveled or discolored.
  • Soak the corn in cold water for at least 30 minutes before cooking: This will help to prevent the kernels from drying out during cooking.
  • Use a large pot of boiling water to cook the corn: This will ensure that the corn is cooked evenly. Add salt or sugar to the boiling water if desired, for extra flavor.
  • Cook the corn for 3-5 minutes, or until the kernels are tender: Overcooking will make the kernels tough and chewy.
  • Remove the corn from the boiling water and immediately transfer it to a bowl of ice water: This will stop the cooking process and help to preserve the corn's鮮嫩度.
  • Serve the corn on the cob with your favorite toppings: Popular toppings include butter, salt, pepper, and herbs, such as chives, parsley or cilantro.

Conclusion:

Herbed corn on the cob is a delicious and versatile side dish that can be enjoyed at any time of year. With its simple ingredients and easy preparation, this recipe is sure to become a favorite.
