Tips:

  • Wash the potatoes thoroughly: Scrub the potatoes with a vegetable brush to remove any dirt or debris. This will help the potatoes cook evenly.
  • Pierce the potatoes with a fork: This will help the steam escape during baking and prevent the potatoes from bursting.
  • Rub the potatoes with olive oil: This will help the potatoes brown and crisp up in the oven.
  • Season the potatoes generously: Use a combination of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to season the potatoes. You can also add other herbs and spices, such as rosemary, thyme, or paprika.
  • Bake the potatoes at a high temperature: This will help the potatoes cook quickly and evenly. Bake the potatoes at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 45-60 minutes, or until they are tender when pierced with a fork.
  • Let the potatoes cool slightly before serving: This will help prevent the potatoes from falling apart when you cut them open.
