Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Spray an 11 x 7-inch baking dish with cooking spray. You can also use a 9 x 13-inch dish -- it will just yield a slightly thinner crust and beef layer. Either works well, though!
- Unroll crescent roll dough and press into the bottom of the prepared dish to form a crust. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Drain any grease from the skillet.
- Stir in 1 cup of salsa.
- Spoon beef mixture over the crescent roll dough. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. Cut into squares and serve.

HEAVENLY CASSEROLE
Need a hearty dinner idea? Try this quick and easy casserole. This is a tangy, creamy, layered Italian casserole. We loved the texture of the egg noodles when the creamy layer and cheese melts into them. Mixed with the meat marinara layer, it's an awesome comforting bite. This reminds us of a beef stroganoff but with a red sauce....

- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef, salt, and black pepper in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease. Add onion, green bell pepper, carrot, and garlic to ground beef; cook and stir until onion is lightly browned, about 15 minutes.

Tips:
- Choose high-quality ground beef: Opt for lean ground beef (80/20 or 90/10) to ensure a flavorful and juicy casserole.
- Brown the beef thoroughly: Cook the ground beef over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until it's evenly browned and no longer pink. This step helps develop rich flavors and prevents the beef from becoming dry.
- Use a variety of vegetables: Feel free to mix and match your favorite vegetables in this casserole. Some popular choices include diced carrots, celery, onions, bell peppers, and corn.
- Don't overcook the pasta: Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, but be careful not to overcook it. Slightly undercooked pasta will continue to cook in the casserole and achieve the perfect al dente texture.
- Use a flavorful sauce: The sauce is key to a delicious casserole. Use a combination of canned tomato soup, diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning to create a rich and flavorful base.
- Top with cheese: A generous layer of cheese on top of the casserole adds a golden-brown crust and extra flavor. Use a combination of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese for a classic Italian taste.
- Bake until bubbly: Bake the casserole in a preheated oven until it's bubbly and golden brown. This usually takes around 30-35 minutes.
Conclusion:
This heavenly ground beef casserole is a hearty and comforting dish that's perfect for a family meal. With its combination of flavorful ground beef, tender pasta, colorful vegetables, and a rich tomato sauce, this casserole is sure to be a hit. It's easy to make and can be customized to your liking, making it a versatile dish that you'll enjoy again and again.
