Time 10m

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more for the water
1 cup (60 grams) small broccoli florets, plus more for serving
1/2 cup (120 grams) mayonnaise
1/4 cup (62 grams) whole milk or 2% Greek yogurt
1/2 cup (7 grams) fresh Italian parsley leaves
1/3 cup (9 grams) chopped fresh chives
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill, plus extra for garnish
Freshly ground black pepper
Ridged potato chips, for serving

Steps:

  • Transfer the broccoli to a food processor and add the mayonnaise, milk, parsley, chives, lime juice, dill, 1/2 teaspoon salt and several grinds of pepper. Pulse to make a smooth dip. Transfer to a serving bowl. Garnish with chopped dill. Leftover broccoli dip will keep covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. (Makes about 1 1/2 cups of dip.)
  • Serve with broccoli florets and ridged potato chips.

2 Tbsp. butter

Tips:

  • Use fresh broccoli: Fresh broccoli florets are key to achieving the best flavor and texture in this dip. Frozen broccoli can be used in a pinch, but fresh is always best.
  • Don't overcook the broccoli: Broccoli should be cooked until it is tender-crisp, not mushy. Overcooked broccoli will make the dip watery and bland.
  • Use a good quality cheese: The type of cheese you use will greatly affect the flavor of the dip. Use a sharp cheddar cheese for a bold flavor, or a milder cheese like Monterey Jack for a more subtle flavor.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different ingredients: This recipe is a great starting point, but feel free to add other ingredients to your liking. Some popular additions include cooked bacon, diced ham, or chopped green onions.
  • Serve the dip warm: Broccoli dip is best served warm, so it can be enjoyed immediately. If you need to make the dip ahead of time, you can store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, simply microwave on low power until warmed through.

Conclusion:

This hearty broccoli dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. It is creamy, cheesy, and packed with broccoli flavor. Serve it with your favorite dippers, such as crackers, chips, or vegetables. You can also use it as a spread on sandwiches or wraps. No matter how you choose to enjoy it, this broccoli dip is sure to be a hit!
